Plano to Richardson — Just South on US-75
Plano and Richardson share a border, and the US-75 (Central Expressway) corridor runs straight between them. For families in West Plano near Preston Rd, the Coit Rd artery connects the two cities without a freeway interchange — you can drive Coit Rd south the entire way from West Plano into Richardson and right to the J.J. Pearce High School campus. East Plano families near US-75 have an even more direct option: southbound on Central Expressway and a quick exit into Richardson.
Plano is in Collin County and is served by Plano ISD, one of the largest school districts in Texas. Plano ISD has strong middle and high school sports programs, but club wrestling fills a gap that school-year programs cannot — year-round technical development, multiple weekly mat sessions, and tournament competition outside the UIL calendar.
All Mustang Elite practices are at 1600 N Coit Rd, Richardson, TX 75080. We do not operate a Plano facility, but the short drive south is a worthwhile investment in your child's athletic development.

West Plano, East Plano, and the Collin County Wrestling Scene
West Plano is one of the most densely populated parts of Collin County, with subdivisions and master-planned communities clustered around Legacy Drive, Preston Rd, and the Dallas North Tollway corridor. Families there are accustomed to driving to Frisco or Allen for competitive youth sports — but Richardson is closer. The Coit Rd drive south from West Plano passes through uninterrupted suburban Plano before crossing into Richardson, making J.J. Pearce HS a genuinely local option.
East Plano, closer to US-75 and Garland Rd, has even shorter geography to work with. Mustang Elite draws families from both sides of Plano, and the 15-minute drive south has not been an obstacle for families who want quality folkstyle coaching from Coach Rick Ibarra.
Nonprofit Pricing vs. Plano-Area For-Profit Clubs
Plano has no shortage of competitive youth sport clubs — and no shortage of clubs charging $90–$200+ per month. Mustang Elite Wrestling is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 84-1770885). Our pricing reflects what it actually costs to run quality coaching sessions at J.J. Pearce HS, not a franchise model or investor return. Visit our registration page to see the current season fee.
USA Wrestling affiliation means Plano wrestlers compete under a nationally recognized framework — the same affiliation that powers the path to Junior Nationals and beyond.
Murphy, Sachse, and the Northern Suburbs
Plano borders Murphy and Sachse to the east, two small Collin County cities that also send wrestlers our way. If you have friends or neighbors in Murphy or Sachse, send them to our Murphy page or Sachse page — the drive routes are slightly different but the destination is the same mat. Check the schedule and contact us to plan a visit.
